The Colorado Legislature’s Renewables and Energy Efficiency Caucus
The Colorado Legislature’s Renewables and Energy Efficiency Caucus brings
together state legislators who support or want to learn more about these clean
new energy technologies in which Colorado -- and the entire western United
States -- has a rich resource base. This caucus is modeled on the U.S. House
Renewables and Energy Efficiency Caucus, co-chaired by Representatives
Mark Udall
(D-Colorado) and
Zach Wamp (R-Tennessee) and the U.S. Senate Renewables and Energy
Efficiency Caucus co-chaired by Senators
Wayne Allard
(R-Colorado) and
Byron Dorgan (D-North
Dakota).
Activities of the Renewables and Energy Efficiency Caucus are supported by
the Colorado Coalition for New Energy Technologies (CCNET), which sponsors a
series of briefings for legislators during each session of the
Colorado General Assembly. These briefings feature presentations
by CCNET companies showing how their technologies provide enormous economic and
environmental benefits to Colorado.
